The system works by attaching an RFID tag to each component or container that is to be tracked.
Antennas are strategically placed at each access point and continually transmit signals targeted at tags.
One transceiver/decoder is attached to each pair of antennas
The transceiver/decoders are linked to the host PC where the Merlin system is located.
Each tag contains a unique identifier and when the tag enters the proximity of the antenna it receives a signal from the antenna and responds with its unique identifier code.
The transceiver decoder collates this data and relays it to the Merlin 360 system.
The Merlin 360 system will then provide the location of all stock and/or WIP in real time.
